Who/What are we?
OW:Videogames is/was Retro Remakes and is ran by Rob. We post about videogames that we like and think you might like too. Our only criteria is that we like at least one thing about it.
Want to drop us a line about something? mail Rob. He's slow but he gets there in the end.
owVideogames is dedicated to the memory of Steve Phelps aka The Toker and is produced with the utmost of thanks to [JJ].

Get Posted!
Got a game you think we might like and want to post about? Want to know how to get it posted here?
1. Have something for us to show and post about.
Videos, screenshots, playable builds. Give us a reason to want to post about it and give us something to post. We're mainly interested in awesome looking hobbyist stuff, retro remakes and curiosities but hey, try us. You never know. We like games.
2. Get in touch!
You can tweet me, mail me, rail me. No, don't rail me.
3. Be nice! We like nice!
Being nice is *so* much better than just firing off a generic press release and more likely to entice us to have a gander at your stuff.

Came for the remakes, only want the remakes?
That's ok, we've preserved all the Retro Remakes posts for all time and the drop list of remakes will continue to function and be added to should any more pass through our doors.

Viriax

Talking of indie games (You weren’t? Oh, you should be). one of our fave developers at RR, the retrogasmic Locomalito, have just dropped their latest game out unto the world.
“Locomawhoto?” I hear you cry. Because I’m behind you and listening into your conversations, naturally.
Why, dear readers, the chaps behind the only Gradius-a-like that isn’t Gradius in recent times worth a sniff.
The new game is Viriax and it’s dedicated to a virus. How cool is that? I’m going to dedicate my next game to Leprosy. Just because.

250 Indie Games You Must Play

Good friend of RR and all round sexy northerner (that’s £2.50, please) Mike Rose has gone and done a book thing. It’s called 250 Indie Games You Must Play and knowing Mike, I’m sure it’ll be filled to the brim with absolutely wonderful and amazing games. Games like, I dunno, SYNSO or something. I’ve heard that’s pretty smart.
Shush at the back.
Anyway, reason for posting now is that it’s up on Amazon and the obligatory Amazon discount-me-up has just thrown itself up onto the internet so you can grab a copy for a lovely £4.50 off the normal price. Which is nice.
Also, credit for getting QWOP’s legs upside down in the corner. What?
Frogger

Run Ribbit, run ribbit, run run run. Here comes Crozza with his erm, game game game?
Yes, that’ll be it. Frogger by the ever productive and scene stalwart Mr Crozza. For you to download. Today.
Yay. Word on the street is “it’s bloody hard”.
Choplifter HD

Two years after someone spotted that inXile had picked up the trademark for Choplifter, we now get a glimpse at what it’s going to look like and where it’s going to appear.
Choplifter “Explosion in a graphics factory” HD will be making an appearance on the PC and on the PS3. Which is nice as I get to add a PS3 category now. Huzzah. (What?)
Lummy knows about a price but I’d guess at “not too much, probably”. Because that’s how I roll. That’s how the kids speak these days, isn’t it?
Zelda II: The FPS

Oh, the drugs have finally kicked in. As title, Zelda II, reimagined as an FPS.
Chaos: Battle Of The Wizards

It’s nice to see Quirky still plugging away successfully with his Chaos remake. This time round it meets the Android platform for all your mobile needs.
More info on his blog and a big thanks to Hovermonkey for the tip off.
Voyeur Arkanoid

It’s like the heady days of Mystique but in full colour and only slightly less creepy. The quality is roughly on par with a Mystique game too. Bonus!
Sword Of Fargoal Legends

Sword Of Fargoal Legends is the iPadtastic version of Paul Pridham’s excellent and official take on, erm, Sword Of Fargoal. You didn’t see that coming, did you?
It’s on sale right now for silly cheap money so if you’re an iPad owner – now’s your chance to own a game I’ll never understand but always appreciate.*
*I’m not allowed near dungeon crawlers by doctor’s orders. The last time I snapped and broke a swans arm.
Pica Pic

I’m not entirely convinced this is still going to be there when I wake up tomorrow but hey ho.
Pica Pic is an online collection of handheld G&W and related games, playable in your browser. It’s *very* nicely done indeed.
Thanks to Rich for the tip off.
Dino Run SE

I never got along with Pixel Jam’s Gamma Bros. Much to the disgust of Retrospecian-now-comedian Mr Goring and, it seems, most of the rest of the internet. I did, however, have a very large soft spot for Dino Run. How large? About THIS large. Thanks for asking.
Which is why I’m more than happy to see Dino Run SE released. It’s a few quid (less than, actually) for not only a snuggly feeling that you’ve contributed towards the work of some lovely people but also money spent that buys you a better and more nicier (real word, honest guv!) version of Dino Run with new things. Including your own special edition multiplayer server to play in. I imagine that’s like one of those big ball pool things but with dinosaurs.
The mind boggles as much as the wallet empties. So that’s around £1.80′s worth of boggling then. GO!
Forget-Me-Not

Is the best thing on iOS right now. You should know this because it’s true.
It’s what happens when the fevered mind behind the majestic Magnetic Shaving Derby mixes Pacman with Rogue. Yes. It’s inspired by the ever wonderful Crossroads on the C64 also.
Of course, that description completely undersells a game that’s just as amazing to watch as it is to play. I think I’m in love.
