If I haven't finished COB by the time I meet you in Leeds (assuming I have a ticket) then you can punch me in the nose.

Hopefully that is incentive enough to make me do it. My nose not my best feature at the best of times, I don't want it splattering across my face. LOL

Yeah sign me up. I might even turn up at Leeds to receive a nose punching since my definition of finished may be somewhat looser than the OED.

I should note that "finish something" could as well apply to a library, a menu system you've always meant to write but never have or whatever you've got sitting in your WIP pile. Bonus points for a complete game, obv.

It would help enormously if you made the rest of September "Get off your arse and start something" month.

There's even a timelapse of me writing it:
<a href="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=6353748&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;fullscreen=1&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=01AAEA" target="_blank">http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=6353748&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;fullscreen=1&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=01AAEA</a>

I even won the "Humor" category, but don't ask me how the hell I managed to do that...

In a universe of 0.5 dimensions, if you have a shape X with "size" Y, then the similar shape X' with "size" 2Y contains sqrt(2) copies of X.  Don't bother trying to visualise this - your brain won't be able to, although you can with practice learn intuition about universes with fractional dimensions, or greater than three just as your baby self learned it about the familiar two- and three-d world.

Crap, I always thought I missed something in my childhood.  Also my brain dribbled out of my ears around the rest of your comment.
