Thank you for your comments  Wink

Hello earok.
I have been testing the bugs you comment:
  • The numberpad works perfect in my keyboard. For your comment seems that there are keyboards where do not works ok  Angry
  • I don't know the minimum (or maximum) requirements for the game, what are the specs of your computer? (operating system, processor, memory and graphics card) What resolution do you use? If the game works better in 800x600 maybe a 640x480 resolution can work for you...
Works perfect in my pc (athlon64 3000 and geforce 7600gt). In my old laptop with very bad graphics card (only 25fps) is not smooth, but it's playable, and the grenades have the same speed. Both with WinXP system.
  • Yes, I'm not very happy with the hiscore system, is difficult to choose what letter is the correct when the pointer is moving. For that reason I have included the possibility to insert the hiscores with the keyboard.

Someone else has got problems?  Sad

then it break arcade cab friendly.

I have not tested it yet and is very soon on vacattion, but I guess you should do the both for the hiscore, so you either can use the keyboard and joystick. Just like that one I did for Cave Hereos, who do the same.

Howover if you did include both, that would been pretty awesome.

Hi Jon,

It's a Toshiba Satellite X205 laptop running Vista. 3GB Ram, Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz, twin NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics cards (SLI).

It's a bit intermittent, and it doesn't do it every time, but if the grenades are not falling way too slow they feel like they're falling way too fast. I've also noticed that the text at the bottom of the 'loading' screen runs from left to right incredibly fast sometimes before slowing down to the usual speed, which I think may be a related issue.

I do a little bit of coding myself and, although I might not be familiar with the language/environment that you use, I wouldn't mind having a tinker with your source code if you're ok with that idea.

Well, your laptop is very impressive!!  Maybe the problem is that you have too good computer...  Wink
It's a rare problem,  do you try to run it in winxp compatibility mode? (if exists in vista...) or disabling one core or one graphic card? (if possible)
No one said that there were problems with windows vista  Sad
I will continue investigating.

If core affinity is the issue, they came up with a neat solution to fix the Thief games here.  I can personally vouch for it successfully fixing the multicore issue on the Thief games.  The instructions are straight forward enough.  The linked file is virus-free and it tooka couple of minutes to actually implement.

Heh, cheers Jon, though there's one thing that's really bad about this laptop - an HD-DVD drive instead of a Blu Ray one Wink

As per your suggestions I've put on Windows XP mode, changed to one GPU (and the one cpu core trick, didn't know that one betpet, cheers) and I can't seem to get the issue with the slow grenades anymore in fullscreen or windowed, so it might have been a random glitch. But I still get the problem with the super fast scrolling text at the start, and the grenades still feel lightning quick in spots (Maybe I'm just bad at the game!). I've noticed they start out at a reasonable speed but get faster as the first level progresses.

I've got a couple of other laptops in the house, so I'll give it a go on those and let you know how I get on.
