I was playing ippy-dippy-doo with the 3 available forum sects, there, for a while..  If anyone wants to shift this, feel free!

I've (FINALLY!) gotten around to building myself a nice big database, and am starting to fill it all up.
It's currently archiving back to May 2007, and I can't really begin to imagine how many games will be on there by the time I'm done.
I've got PC stuff dating back to around 99/2000, and Amiga from before that. (yeah, took me that long to get a PC!!)

No idea how I'm going to transfer the Amiga stuff, though, since I just realised I don't have a floppy drive anymore. Bah, stupid new-fangled PCs!

Anyhoo, the archive's begun, and it'll take the next 50 years to get it up to date.

There's LOADS of stuff in there that I've never posted here before.

To get you started, Best Remakes!.  Woot!

Golly Molly you been busy. My favorite is still Retro Raider but then again I have that thing about Mrs. Croft.
By any chance, is that Painter game maybe a remake of a game called (not making this up) 'Potty Painter' from c64?

One man CAN make a difference. Keep up the coding and the good work and keep making me ashamed for not getting back to my coding. Smiley

Sad  If only I could code my own KITT AI...  Sad

Wink

Painter's a very very vague memory I have of an old BBC Micro game, but done in about a day!  I know nothing of the C64 one.
..
For a guy who codes a lot of games and grew up in the 80s, I seem to have a very slim recollection of games beyond the CPC!

Yeah, has the same gameplay as Potty thing but don't tell anyone. Don't wanna be known as the only guy who had that cassette or even knew about that game.

Amidar was the original arcade version they were both ripping-off, I believe. Assuming Painter is the game I think it is.

Well..let's put a blame on my cheapo cousin who couldn't buy me the present that people were usually buying for birthdays, oh say~Commando, Zorro, Beach Head, etc.

As for the Amidar, yeah, the same gameplay/grid thing it's just that Potty was so dada in its approach with a single 2 seconds long audio loop which drives elephants to the final destination is what made it so...so...terrifying!

Now to dig that other cassette..Death Star, the most shameless rip off of the wrist watch game 'ported' to C64, I'm likely the only owner, maybe Jayenkai can remake it and the world explodes. Sad
