Hi folks , I am working on a new Remake for some Months now and it will be a Space Invaders Game like that one Futurama Episode called " Anthology if Interest II" my remake will be based on that episode , same Ships , same Background and some videos of the epsiode shown in a small Bitmap on the right corner of the screen. I talked about this idea of remaking this episode to a game , many months before in the old Forum. The game is currently full playable but there are some missing Background Buildings and currently i am working on them. My workflow goes slowly because i am also working on a commecial Breakout game and iam working in real life as well. I will hopefully release both games at the same time. I want to give the game some extras , one extra is ready scripted in the game and i will add some more , but i am not sure what they should do yet. I made a shild that appears after losing a ship for some seconds , maybe i make it so that you can get this shild as a extra as well. I dont like to show screenshots of the game with only half finished Backgrounds , but if you guys want to see some , i will upload some. And maybe a small video as well. BTW , I let the same Music play like that in the Series " Tom Sawyer - by Rush" fits very nice to the Game  Well .. how should i call the Game ... any ideas ? 1) Futurama Invaders 2) Invaders ! Possibly from space! 3) 4) you can watch this specific Futrama Epsiode here  <-- LOL |

The Background Buildings are not finished yet , they has to be adjusted more. Lots of background stuff are missing as well. Even so i will show you guys some shots !!! (i dont have mutch time for scripting but this game will be finished , i promise) Hope it looks like Futurama enough  .    |

Who knows , i never did a remake on anything famous like Futurama. My only hope is that they dont say "NO we dont want that". |

I noticed that the shields don't break away in less than huge blocks. I don't know how true to the original that is and does it allow the drilling through tactic to work, or does it open up too big a hole?
Also, the "I can never hit the last guy" quote by fry didn't pop up when the first last-guy showed up, but then you got him, so I guess it doesn't make sense.

I made the shild out of Big Blocks thatīs truly a difference to the Original , but the tctical part still works fine. The quote of Fry and all the others , happens randomly but always to the right situation. So if only one enemy is left then maybe nothing happens or Fry is quoting "I can never hit the last guy" or mybe soldberg is quoting "one ship is left only". Sometimes if you lose a life then Pac Man is quoting "i am hit ..... so cold" STATUS : I made more Background buildings and now i am working on the script and some extras. New Video is coming soon. |
