Ok, I had the idea to include an energy bar to show you how close you are to killing a boss or "something else slightly secret". So, thought i would post a video for feedback! does it work or not? is it a benefit? At the very least, it is an opportunity to post another video and not show ANYTHING new!! HE HE c'mon guys - help me out here! PS.. Lots of new stuff (that i cannot show) has been added to the game... These all apear if you get past the initial 10 levels..

I like it. It gives you a sense of "how much more to endure" and your progress, and the lack of that can sometimes be pretty frustrating. I'm sure that it's not to everyone's liking...but I like it. However, if what the video shows is the average lifespan of the bosses in the game you don't need it because they don't look that tough, so I suggest that if you have difficulty settings in the game you can turn the life bar on in easy mode and off in normal mode. That's what I would do.

The bosses that I have chosen are from the first couple of levels. I used them because these are some of the levels that are modded for difficulty and wanted to be fairly easy. though the level 3 one killed me... but (my excuse) i was holding a finger over f2 to stop the recording LOL

Looks like "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" or something. It's probably evil anyway.

Sorry for the massive delay in posts.. Had been suffering for the "sokurah piggie syndrome" (look that up in your Funk & Wagnalls) All levels are now done and all the bosses are also done.. Just down to heavy playtesting. I have 2 playtesters with the latest version checking it out and am always interested in anyone who wishes to playtest also? Hopefully release is not too far off now I will also say that SpaceFractal has done some sterling work on the remixes of the main tune and could almost release a CD of all the mixes he has made

Hey! Thanks for music comments, even Im not a professionel musican, but yes these tunes works very great in the private demo. Im going to been a more indepth playtests this time because I have more time in this week, then I have previous week (hence no work on Cave Heroes else wise).

This game would not be the same without the outstanding work done by our graphics and sound artists. Thanks to Lobo and SpaceFractal for being part of our team! We hope to work again with you guys in the near future! Also a big thanks to my coding partner Flash who has been a pleasure to work with. It has been one of the greatest and fun projects I've ever been involved with and it's rare to find someone whom I really enjoy working with so much. Warhawk DS is nearly ready for release and I look forward to cracking a beer and celebrating when it is! Viva La Warhawk!
Also we are looking for playtesters so please give it a try if you have a DS with a cart such as an R4, M3 or Cyclone. It does run in No$GBA emulator too but nowhere near as nicely as it does on hardware.

Hey I did not create the sound FX only music. Just sent a email to you Flash for some comment from level 01 -> 10 and some various issues found. Not tested all levels yet, but tested the game in about 2 hours today.

Haha, missed this video when you posted it. I think more games should include satanists. That is all. Even if they couldn't play the blues like Jimmy Page. And that's me outta here with my obscure pop references. Tara! Gerrashifton

Finally got around to playing this on my DS, and I have to say it is fantastic. My biggest gripe isn't so much with the game, but the DS, as you tend to forget about the top screen and focus on the bottom, adding that you forget that it is possible to move into the top screen half of the time. I've made my way up to level 7 so far, but only did 1-5 in one go before accidentally following a mine with my ship wiping out all the health I had. Titlescreen scroller was quite informative too

Really pleased you like it!
It is a shame that the DS screens are not closer together, but feedback suggests that you do get used to the 'space'. There was a bit of chat going on about this issues on retrobytesportal.com, and you can see why we ended up sticking to this method.

I've read through a fair few of the posts there, and like Lobo mentioned, you do have an annoying habit of trying to compensate for the gap between the screens and expect things to take longer to appear, so the sudden appearance of objects takes you by surprise a few times Still, looks like I need to play more games to match some of the people there I'll also have to give the original C64 version a go as well, as I must admit that Warhawk was one of the games I never actually got back in the day.
