4 things left to do; level design, gameplay, death and winning. Think that's it.

Am I allowed to change my "something"? Sad

Have spent the last two weeks working on a non-games project (it's a football results permutator, actually) for a friend of mine, that I first promised to do for him about 3 years ago!

I've finally knuckled down and sorted it out, but that means that Omega Redux is far far far from completion, although it's been good getting it started.

Anyway, will finishing my footie results thing count?  It's renewed a love of programming that I'd sadly lost, and that will stand me in good stead for getting Omega done over the next few months.

It was made clear that something is something as long as it's finished so you've surely done that and got the mojo back which is even betterer (tm) Smiley

I'm currently fighting with php scripts and file encryption trying to get online scores and encrypted local scores (and maybe keyfiles) working. Dunno if I'm going to be done in time, I don't want to mess this up - might have to beta it with a couple of peeps to be honest.

Does anyone have a nice and mellow ambient background tune that I can use to finish off a simple puzzle game I started an hour ago?

It's a remake of a flash game - http://www.flashbynight.com/drench/

Just need the tune and then it's complete Smiley

[EDIT] Music sorted. Game finished (Wiz version uploaded). Will sort out pc version tomorrow.

Just spent 4 hours doing the level and backgrounds and it was probably the best 4 hours of the project so far. Going to skip the gameplay since if there's a game in there I can't be bothered looking, but really looking forward to my next project now.

80 days making "stuff" and 4 hours doing the "game". LOL!

Didn't do anything yesterday, I now have today and tomorrow morning to finish it, and we have plans for tonight. This will be a close one! (But then again, sleep is overrated)

I didn't have too much time yesterday. I'm trying to hook a friend on Doctor Who - an ongoing process - so we watched The Pyramids of Mars last night. He liked it. :-)

When he left I did two things.

* Added the two final pieces of graphics to the game - two animated towers, both with 8 frames of animation. They're new objects that are not in the original game.

* Added the choice of difficulty level by changing some fixed values to variables and then multiplying with different values depending on what the player chooses. The original values became 'hard' and the new lower values became a much better speed for 'normal' dificulty.

Good choice!

Monty is progressing a little more.  Jumping implemented better.  Now collision detection is flaky :/

Haven't done with Blockman Gets More, quite yet.  That'll be done by Tuesday.

However, I did manage to finish...
1. Blockman Gets DS,
2. Munky's Block,
3. Yip and
4. Guesstimates
this month, so I think I did ok..

To be fair, I wasn't really joining in with the whole "Finish it off month" thing, those just happened...  (/smugtwatmode)

Hehehe I wish I had half your coding mojo mate, you are a star.

I think I've more or less done all the high score stuff - there have been bugs galore and ther are probably lots more that I haven't found too. Sad

Hehe I feel your pain mate. We have a big Halloween party tomorrow (today actually isn't it - EEK!) so I don't know how much time we actually really have left.
